www.mayasapone.com: Maya Sapone is an Italian opera singer with an international background which embraces three continents; Africa, Asia and Europe. Born in Gabon to an Italian father and Thai mother Maya studied singing at Trinity College of Music in London, and received further training in Spain and Italy.

First Prize winner of the ‘Gladys Puttick Memorial Prize for Extemporisation’ Maya is a versatile performer with great vocal flexibility and improvisational skills. Extremely active in the contemporary music scene, Maya is part of the Voice Lab at the Southbank Centre directed by Mary King, as well as being associated with Blüthner Piano and the European Chamber Opera.
